Applications Open: Spotlight Initiative Africa Regional Programme (SIARP) 2.0 – Civil Society Regional Reference Group (CSRRG)

Applications are open for: The Spotlight Initiative Africa Regional Programme (SIARP) 2.0 is now accepting purposes and nominations for the formation of the Civil Society Regional Reference Group (CSRRG). We invite people to apply and change into part of a dynamic group of as much as 15 voluntary civil society consultants and youth leaders who’re dedicated to combating violence in opposition to girls and ladies (VAWG) and advancing gender equality throughout Africa.

Role and Responsibilities

• Advise on programme technique and implementation

• Advocate for gender equality and the elimination of VAWG

• Ensure accountability to civil society, particularly girls’s and youth networks

• Promote regional variety and inclusivity in decision-making

Eligibility Criteria

We encourage nominations or purposes from people who:

• Are civil society consultants or youth leaders

• Have expertise in gender equality, human rights, and addressing dangerous practices

• Are linked to grassroots or regional girls’s and youth networks

• Demonstrate a dedication to advancing gender justice in Africa

Selection Process

The course of will take into account regional stability and variety of experience.

A Selection Committee, chaired by a consultant from the Civil Society Global Reference Group, will embrace:

• Representatives from UN Women, the European Union, African Union Commission (AUC), and UNDCO

• Three unbiased civil society consultants from totally different sub-regions with expertise within the Spotlight Initiative

1. Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Short Biography

   • Maximum of 5 pages for CV or 1-page biography

   • Highlight related coaching, skilled or volunteer expertise, and collaboration with girls’s/youth actions

   • Include as much as three references

2. Motivation Statement

   • Up to 1,000 characters

   • Outline curiosity, motivation, and potential contributions

   • Confirm availability and settlement to the Terms of Reference and Code of Conduct
