Call for Applications: 2025 Regional Youth Workshop on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services in Europe and Central Asia (IPBES)

The International Academy for Nature Conservation is organizing a regional youth workshop to assist youth engagement with the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES). The workshop goals to extend understanding and use of IPBES merchandise amongst early profession professionals and dedicated younger folks from Europe and Central Asia.

Workshop Details

Workshop Objectives and Focus

Participants will achieve insights into IPBES processes and merchandise and discover methods to extend youth engagement in IPBES actions. The workshop will focus on the IPBES Nexus Assessment and Transformative Change Assessment (2024), and embody periods utilizing the Nature Futures Framework.

Participants

The workshop will convey collectively 25 youth individuals from Western, Central, and Eastern Europe, and Central Asia. Selected people have to be actively concerned in biodiversity-related fields and signify youth organizations or networks.

Support

All chosen individuals will obtain full monetary assist for journey, lodging, and meals from the German Government.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should:

• Be between 18–30 years previous

• Be a nationwide of one of many eligible international locations from Europe and Central Asia

• Be actively engaged in biodiversity or nature conservation work

• Be nominated by a authorities physique or a youth group/community

• Have robust English language abilities

Note: German candidates have to be nominated by a corporation/community, not the German authorities.

All functions and nominations have to be submitted by May 31, 2025.

Selection Process
