Selection Process
The choice course of consists of three phases:

युवा भारत के जलवायु चैंपियन, राष्ट्रीय युवा जलवायु संघ (नेशनल यूथ क्लाइमेट कंसोर्टियम/NYCC) के तहत

राष्ट्रीय युवा जलवायु संघ (NYCC) के तहत युवा भारत के जलवायु चैंपियन फेलोशिप शुरू हो रही है! इसमें 35 युवाओं को क्लाइमेट चैंपियन के रूप में चुना जाएगा  जिन्हें प्रशिक्षण मिलेगा जलवायु क्षेत्र के विशेषज्ञों द्वारा, 1 लाख रुपये तक का अनुदान, अपने राज्य में यंग इंडिया क्लाइमेट कम्युनिटी का नेतृत्व करने का मौका मिलेगा NYCC के निर्देशन में, राष्ट्रीय और अंतरराष्ट्रीय मंचों पर युवाओं का प्रतिनिधित्व करने का अवसर साथ ही जरूरी तकनीकी संसाधन और सहायता ।

NYCC एक युवा-नेतृत्व वाला समूह है जो जमीनी स्तर पर काम करने वाले नेताओं को सशक्त बनाता है। यह जलवायु परिवर्तन और इससे जुड़े अन्य सामाजिक मुद्दों पर काम करता है। कंसोर्टियम के उद्देश्य जमीनी स्तर पर युवाओं के नेतृत्व वाले नेटवर्क, संगठनों और व्यक्तियों को मजबूत बनाना है और  जलवायु कार्रवाई में उनके मौजूदा प्रयासों को और तेज़ करना।  साथ ही युवाओं की भागीदारी को अधिक प्रभावी और सार्थक बनाना।

यह मंच युवाओं को एक साथ लाकर, उन्हें संसाधन और अवसर देता है ताकि वे जलवायु परिवर्तन से निपटने में अपनी भूमिका निभा सकें।

इस कंसोर्टियम को ग्रीन राइजिंग इंडिया चैप्टर के तहत युवाह-यूनिसेफ के सहयोग से ब्रिंग बैक ग्रीन फाउंडेशन ने मिलकर बनाया है।

इस वर्ष, NYCC  जलवायु परिवर्तन पर प्रभावी काम को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए इन महत्वपूर्ण मुद्दों को प्राथमिकता देगा:

• जागरूकता और क्षमता निर्माण – जलवायु परिवर्तन से निपटने के लिए लोगों को जागरूक करना और उनके ज्ञान व कौशल को बढ़ाना। इसके लिए कार्यशालाएँ, जागरूकता सत्र, समुदाय-आधारित प्रशिक्षण और अन्य गतिविधियाँ की जाती हैं।
• नवाचार(इनोवेशन)– पर्यावरण को बचाने और जलवायु के अनुकूल समाधान बनाने के लिए नए और रचनात्मक तरीकों को विकसित करना और लागू करना।

• लामबंदी (मूवमेंट बनाना) –  जमीनी स्तर पर प्रभाव डालने के लिए युवाओं के नेतृत्व वाले आंदोलनों और सामूहिक प्रयासों को मजबूत करना।

• अनुसंधान (रिसर्च) –  डेटा और शोध के ज़रिए ठोस नीतियों और कार्यों को दिशा देना ताकि जलवायु परिवर्तन से निपटने के लिए सही कदम उठाए जा सकें।
