Applications at the moment are open for the 2025 Call for Initiatives: World Forum for Democracy. The World Forum for Democracy calls for expressions of curiosity from modern initiatives, from everywhere in the world, aiming at enhancing democracy and contributing to sustainable peace.

The World Forum for Democracy is a platform for world dialogue between policymakers and civil society about up to date democracy challenges and options. It highlights modern concepts and initiatives and places them by a radical examination, to function inspiration for the Council of Europe and for states and no-state actors the world over. A novel occasion of its form, the Forum contributes to the evolution of democracy in direction of extra participatory and inclusive establishments and processes.

Program Format

• The 13^th  World Forum for Democracy will debate the problems and generate new concepts for tackling the challenges to residing peacefully in complicated societies, which we face in the present day. 
• Plenary classes might be a chance to focus on with audio system from all continents, together with politicians, public officers and representatives of the personal sector, worldwide organisations and civil society.
• The classes “Time for Ideas” will embody brief shows by lecturers, policymakers and different specialists, and the presentation of three to 4 modern initiatives, adopted by an in depth dialogue with the viewers.
   

Requirements

• The name for initiatives is open to each private and non-private organizations from any nation, together with governmental our bodies, NGOs, worldwide establishments, and even community-based organizations which might be implementing modern initiatives or methods that intention to promote democratic values and sustainable peace.
• Any public or personal organisation is eligible to apply. One presenter for the chosen initiatives might be invited to Strasbourg to take part within the World Forum.

• Submissions from any public or personal organisation ought to be made by answering the questionnaire within the appendix and sending it to [email protected] by 17 May 2025.
