Call for Entries – “Youth Stands Up for Democracy” Photo Exhibition

Are you aged 18–30 and captivated with youth-led activism? Capture the vitality of change by means of your digicam and take part in a worldwide celebration of youth political and civic engagement.

To mark the official launch of the Global Youth Participation Index, the Youth Democracy Cohort is curating a strong worldwide picture exhibition that spotlights the voices and imaginative and prescient of younger folks world wide.

What We’re Looking For:

Photos that showcase:

• Youth protests, marches, and campaigns

• Creative or symbolic expressions of resistance

• Grassroots organizing and civic motion

• Any second that displays youth-led democratic engagement

What’s in It for You?

• 15 chosen photographers will every obtain a €250 prize

• Photos shall be printed and displayed internationally beginning June 2025

• The prime 2 viewers favourites shall be invited to Brussels for International Democracy Day (15–16 September 2025)

Key Dates:

• Submit your picture by: 24 April 2025

• Winners introduced: May 2025

• Exhibition launch: June 2025

How to Apply:

• Submit one high-resolution picture (min. 300 DPI, appropriate for print)

• Include a quick caption (max. 150 phrases) describing the picture’s context

• Send your entry by e mail to data@youthdemocracycohort.com

• Use the topic line:
  “YDC Photography Exhibition – Call for Entries – Application – [Your Name / Surname]”

You have to be the unique photographer
Only 1 entry per particular person
Winners should signal a non-exclusive license settlement (with full credit score)

• Relevance to the Youth Activism theme

• Storytelling and emotional impression

• Artistic and technical high quality

• Diversity and illustration

• Caption readability and context
