The University of Beira Interior (UBI), in collaboration with Scantavares Metal, Lda., invites purposes for a totally funded analysis fellowship (SABE-BI-01) beneath the SABE – Advanced and Sustainable Block Engineering mission. This thrilling alternative is part of the CENTRO2030 Program and takes place at the Center for Materials and Civil Engineering for Sustainability (C-MADE).
Funding & Fellowship Benefits
- Monthly stipend: €1,309.64 (aligned with nationwide PhD fellowship charges)
- Duration: 36 months (beginning June 2025)

- Work Hours: Full-time (35 hours/week)
- Location: C-MADE, University of Beira Interior, Covilhã, Portugal
- Mentorship: Supervised by Professors João Paulo de Castro Gomes, João António Saraiva Pires da Fonseca, and Clemente Martins Pinto.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should:
- Hold a Master’s diploma in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a associated subject.
- Be eligible and dedicated to enrolling in a PhD program.
- Demonstrate expertise in sustainable building supplies and/or utilized analysis.
- Have proficiency in materials characterization, mortar/block improvement, and prefabrication applied sciences.
- Be fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Be capable of work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary atmosphere.
Foreign levels should be formally acknowledged beneath Portuguese legislation previous to contract signing.
