Applications are open for the Black Girls Defense Fund Resistance & Resilience Mini-Grant 2025. Southern Black Girls and Women’s Consortium’s Black Girls Defense Fund is devoted to supporting organizations who’re advocating and constructing actions for the rights and security of Black women, ladies, and femme figuring out youth within the South.

This Resistance and Resilience mini grant will present monetary assist to organizations preventing towards dehumanization and defending the basic rights of Black women and girls within the South. With grants of up to $2,000, this funding OPPORTUNITY is designed to strengthen group-led efforts addressing the distinctive challenges Black women face that embody adultification, dehumanization, and violence.

Eligibility

To qualify for this grant, candidates should:

• Be working to assist Black women, ladies or femme figuring out youth.
• Operate in one of many following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, or Texas.
• Be a 501(c)(3) group or have fiscal sponsorship by one other non-revenue group.
• Have a brand new or present program, venture, advocacy marketing campaign, or different initiative that addresses the vulnerability of Black women and/or ladies within the South.
