Applications are actually open for the 2025 Global Centre for Climate Mobility (GCCM) Climate Mobility Fellowship. The Global Centre for Climate Mobility (GCCM) is happy to announce the launch of the Climate Mobility Fellowship (CMF), the inaugural exercise of the Climate Mobility Academy (CMA). This year-long fellowship is designed to allow youth leaders from Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, and the Pacific, with the instruments, networks, and experience wanted to drive impactful options within the rising discipline of local weather mobility.
The CMF goals to equip youth leaders with vital educational coaching, publicity to worldwide local weather mobility insurance policies, and hands-on mission expertise. Application Requirements
Applicants have to be:
- Between 18 and 30 years previous on the time of application and
- Fluent in English
- Based in or nationals of Latin American, Caribbean, African, or Pacific Island nations.
Fellowship Details
The Fellowship is constructed round 4 key pillars:
- Formal Learning via In-Residence & Virtual Remote Training: Fellows will bear two distinct coaching phases: an immersive two-week in-person program centered on constructing educational information and coverage frameworks, adopted by a digital distant program that strengthens sensible expertise in advocacy, communications, mission improvement, and motion planning.
- Hands-on Learning via GCCM Programmes: Fellows will achieve sensible expertise by integrating immediately into ongoing GCCM actions, contributing to coverage analysis, knowledge evaluation, regional programming, strategic communications, and public advocacy. This will present steady Opportunities to construct expertise and experience within the local weather mobility house.
- Participation in Global Policy Processes: Fellows may have entry to important international coverage occasions such because the UN Oceans Conference, Berlin Climate Mobility Forum, UN High-Level Week, and COP30. Through participation in knowledgeable panels and networking with decision-makers, they’ll achieve precious insights into international local weather mobility insurance policies and contribute to shaping the way forward for the sector.
- Climate Mobility Impact Project: Over the 12-month fellowship, every fellow will design and implement a Climate Mobility Impact Project, specializing in an area or regional local weather mobility problem.
