Applications are open for the Rooted Future Labs Environmental Justice in Tech (EJIT) Fellowship 2025. Fellows will lead one transformative mission whereas collaborating on others:

• The Editor // GLITCH Digital Zine
  • Lead the creation of the annual environmental justice in tech publication.
  • Curate and form compelling narratives round tech and environmental justice.
  • Coordinate the design, structure, and distribution of each digital and print editions.
• The Researcher // Data Governance & Climate Justice
  • Investigate digital local weather misinformation by way of a local weather justice lens.
  • Contribute to groundbreaking analysis in simply information infrastructure.
  • Work beneath the supervision of Dr. Benedetta Brevini.
• The Educator // Digital Educational Materials
  • Create local weather justice and coding workshops utilizing Jupyter Notebook/Google CoLab, and so on.
  • Develop instructional sources for widespread and better schooling.
  • Design digital mapping and interactive actions.
• The Creative // Creative & Cultural Interventions
  • Conceptualize and prototype revolutionary methods to have interaction new audiences on environmental justice and expertise.
  • Collaborate with artists, writers, and technologists to create interdisciplinary tasks.
  • Potentially set up and facilitate neighborhood occasions or on-line experiences that showcase the interventions.

Eligibility

They welcome candidates who:

• Have expertise with environmental justice by way of neighborhood work, lived expertise, or study.
• Strong writing and communication abilities.
