The Ilia Calderón Scholarship 2025 presents a transformative alternative for younger Afro-descendant and Indigenous leaders throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Sponsored by One Young World in collaboration with the Jang Calderón Family Foundation, this prestigious scholarship will choose two excellent people to attend the One Young World 2025 Summit in Munich, Germany, absolutely funded.
About the Scholarship
Building upon its success in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024, the Ilia Calderón Scholarship continues to empower younger changemakers who’re spearheading revolutionary and impactful initiatives of their communities. The scholarship offers a novel platform for these leaders to have interaction with a worldwide community of influential changemakers, gaining insights and help to amplify their efforts.
What the Scholarship Covers?
Selected students will obtain:
- Full entry to the One Young World Summit 2025 in Munich.
- Hotel lodging in a personal room from November 2 to November 6, 2025.
- Round-trip airfare (financial system class) to and from Munich.
- Domestic journey prices to the airport for worldwide flights (financial system class).
- Visa charges, if relevant.
- Local transportation between lodging and the Summit venue.
- Catering (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) supplied by the lodge and through the Summit.
- Translation providers from English to Spanish throughout plenary classes, welcome, and shutting occasions.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should:
- Be aged 18 – 30 on the time of the One Young World 2025 Summit (November 3 – 6, 2025).
- Hold nationality from one of many following international locations:
- South America: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela.

Evaluation Criteria
