Applications at the moment are open for the 2025 African STARS Fellowship Programme. The Centre for Epidemic Response and Innovation (CERI) at Stellenbosch University (South Africa) and the Institut Pasteur de Dakar (IPD) (Senegal) invite functions for the African STARS Fellowship Programme, in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation. This prestigious initiative is designed to coach the subsequent technology of African leaders in genomics, diagnostics, vaccine improvement, and biotechnology innovation.
Fellowship Opportunities
Advanced and Translational Training (ATT) Fellowship (4 months)
- Advanced genomics for public health
- Genomic diagnostic design
- Vaccine & biomanufacturing
Young Professional Programme (YPP) Fellowship (12 months)
- Research administration
- Innovation & entrepreneurship
- Infectious illnesses R&D for diagnostics
- Innovations to reinforce affected person outcomes in Africa
Requirements
- Born in and/or residing in Africa
- 35 years outdated or youthful
- Relevant diploma (Bachelor’s minimal; MSc/PhD most popular)
- Experience in genomics, diagnostics, biotech, or vaccine improvement
- Leadership potential & dedication to Africa’s scientific progress
- Fluent in English or French (each is a bonus)
