Applications are open for the African STARS Fellowship Programme 2025. The Centre for Epidemic Response and Innovation (CERI) at Stellenbosch University (South Africa) and the Institut Pasteur de Dakar (IPD) (Senegal) invite purposes for the African STARS Fellowship Programme, in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation. This prestigious initiative is designed to coach the following era of African leaders in genomics, diagnostics, vaccine improvement, and biotechnology innovation.
There are two fellowships open for application:
Advanced and Translational Training (ATT) Fellowship (4 months)
- Advanced genomics for public well being
- Genomic diagnostic design
- Vaccine & biomanufacturing
Young Professional Programme (YPP) Fellowship (12 months)
- Research administration
- Innovation & entrepreneurship
- Infectious ailments R&D for diagnostics
- Innovations to boost affected person outcomes in Africa

Eligibility
- Born in and/or dwelling in Africa;
- 35 years previous or youthful;

- Leadership potential & dedication to Africa’s scientific progress;
- Fluent in English or French (each is a bonus);
