The Merian Centre for Advanced Studies within the Maghreb (MECAM) at Université de Tunis, in collaboration with Forum Transregionale Studien and prime-tier establishments like Philipps-Universität Marburg, Universität Leipzig, and the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA), has introduced its prestigious MECAM Fellowships 2025-2026.
This alternative invites six postdoctoral and three superior researchers to immerse themselves in an eight-month, totally funded analysis residency in Tunis, Tunisia, from September 2025 to April 2026.
With the overarching theme “Imagining Futures: Dealing with Disparity”, fellows will conduct analysis inside a number of of MECAM’s 5 Interdisciplinary Research Fields (IRFs):
