Applications are open for the European Commission Blue Book Traineeship Programme 2025. The Blue Book Traineeship programme is a 5-month paid internship provided by the European Commission, offering younger graduates from world wide with fingers-on expertise in EU policymaking and administration.

Trainees work in a multicultural setting, develop skilled expertise, and acquire insights into the operations of EU establishments. The European Commission proposes two kinds of traineeship: an Administrative Traineeship or a Translation Traineeship with the Directorate-General for Translation (DGT).

Eligibility

Open to school graduates who:

  • have accomplished a regular 3-12 months greater training diploma (minimal EQF 6 degree), corresponding to an entire Bachelor’s cycle, or equal. Only if in case you have a certificates or official affirmation out of your college that you’ve such a level will you be eligible to apply. You should present the next paperwork:
    • diplomas or certificates with closing grades clearly indicated

    • For the interpretation traineeship within the Directorate-General for Translation (DGT) – you should be capable of translate into your fundamental/goal language (usually your mom tongue), from two different official EU languages (‘source languages’).:
      • your fundamental/goal language have to be one of many official EU languages.
      • your first supply language for translation have to be a working language of the EU: English, French or German (C degree or mom tongue).
      • your second supply language could be any of the official EU languages with a minimum of B2-degree proficiency.
