Canada Academy Executive Residency Program 2025 – YOA

Applications are open for the Canada Academy Executive Residency Program 2025. The Executive Residency Program is a Canadian Academy initiative devoted to offering business entry for mid-profession professionals who determine as Black, Indigenous, or individuals of color, with a view to affect a change within the subsequent era of executives and resolution makers.

The eight-month nationwide program matches excessive-stage Advocates (equivalent to VPs, Executive Producers, Development/Production Executives) with rising leaders, offering perception into how artistic and enterprise selections are made on an govt stage. Participants could have the OPPORTUNITY to develop their artistic, enterprise, and management expertise, and make significant connections within the business.

The Executive Residency Program is introduced by the Supporting Partners Telefilm Canada and Ontario Creates; Collaborative Partners Bell Media, Cineplex, and Boat Rocker; and Community Partner BIPOC TV & Film.

Cost

• There aren’t any charges to apply for or take part on this program.

Eligibility

• This program is designed to help members of the next underrepresented communities: Black, Indigenous, or individuals of color.
• Minimum 5 (5) years expertise within the Canadian movie/tv/media/display screen business (or equal expertise).
• Experience in creating story is an asset.
• Applicant is mid-profession and is able to be thought-about for an govt place.
• At least one (1) management place in any capability, and/or expertise overseeing a group (skilled or voluntary).
• Applications may be in English or French, however the placements will probably be made in English-dominant environments.
• Participants should be:
  • Canadian residents or everlasting residents of Canada
  • 19 years of age or older

• 150-phrase Professional Bio
• 500-phrase Letter of Intent/Leadership Mandate
• 2-3 minute Intro Video in response to a selected query
• 250-phrase Summary of Professional Skills
• Text responses to questions on program targets and profession targets
• Contact Info for two References:
  • One from somebody you will have managed, who can converse to your administration/management type
  • One from a creator (for instance: a author, director, editor, and so forth.) you will have labored with who can converse to your story/growth expertise
