Role Overview

Under the supervision of the Director, the Economic Affairs Officer can be answerable for supporting the event help facets of cotton. Cotton is mentioned at WTO via two complementary tracks:

1. Trade facets

Key Responsibilities

1. Serve as Secretary of the Director-General’s Consultative Framework Mechanism on Cotton (DGCFMC), managing conferences, follow-ups, and getting ready studies and documentation.
2. Liaise with Cotton Four international locations (C-4+), WTO Members, worldwide organizations, donors, and personal sector stakeholders to replace the Director-General’s Evolving Table on Cotton Development Assistance.
3. Advance the “Partenariat pour le coton” initiative and different cotton-related growth tasks, collaborating with Members, LDCs, donors, and personal sector stakeholders.
4. Assist in coaching, technical help, and digital instruments administration, together with:
   • Cotton-related technical help
   • The Cotton Portal
   • The Agriculture Information Management System (IMS)

Required Qualifications

Education
