The Alliance for Socially Engaged Arts Fellowship is a transformative programme designed to assist and join visionary leaders of arts organisations devoted to neighborhood engagement and social change throughout Europe. This 18-month Fellowship gives a collaborative house to strengthen organisations, improve skilled growth, and drive impactful advocacy efforts.

Why Now?

Socially engaged arts organisations throughout Europe are tackling urgent societal points, from inequality and migration to local weather change. Despite their vital contributions, these organisations usually face challenges in securing funding, coverage illustration, and public recognition.

The Fellowship is designed to empower arts leaders by equipping them with the instruments, networks, and assets to scale their impression, advocate for change, and strengthen their organisations.


What the Fellowship Offers

Running from June 2025 to November 2026, the programme helps private development, organisational growth, and collaborative studying. Fellows will work on a main query, addressing a key problem or alternative inside their organisation or neighborhood.

The Fellowship is structured into three core phases:

  • The Seed of Change – Identifying key challenges and alternatives, whereas growing expertise and confidence to deal with them.
  • Extending the Reach – Translating private development into methods that improve the organisation’s advocacy and impression.
  • A Movement for Advocacy – Exploring methods to drive systemic change and reshape narratives for socially engaged arts throughout Europe.

Programme Highlights

  • Immersive Residentials – Two in-person periods:
    • October 2025, Turin, Italy – Focus on socially engaged arts, worth creation, and advocacy.
    • June 2026 – Strategy growth and peer collaboration.
  • Online Workshops – 12 interactive skill-building and peer studying periods.
  • Learning by Doing – Leading advocacy initiatives, organisational initiatives, and real-world challenges.
  • Action Learning Sets – Bi-monthly peer assist periods to refine methods.
  • Mentoring and Support – One-to-one steerage and alternatives for exterior mentorship.
  • Study Visits and Exchanges – Travel grants of up to €5,000 for information trade.
  • Fellowship Grants – €60,000 per organisation for participation, growth, and pilot actions.
  • Online Community – A digital platform for useful resource sharing and collaboration.

Financial Support

The Fellowship gives complete funding to guarantee full participation:

  • €30,000 Organisational Development Grant – Supports capability constructing and operational prices.
  • €30,000 Leading Question Grant – Funds pilot actions addressing key organisational or neighborhood challenges.
  • €5,000 Mobility Grant – Covers journey for study visits and exchanges.
  • Residential Costs – Travel, lodging, meals, and supplies for in-person periods are totally coated.
  • Access Budget – Provides assist for accessibility wants and caring tasks.

Commitment and Timeline

The Fellowship requires a dedication of roughly 20 hours per 30 days, together with:

  • Online periods – 3-5 hours per 30 days.
  • Residentials – Two full-time in-person periods, totaling 9 days.

  • 15-18 June 2026 – Second Residential.
  • November 2026 – Final programme outputs and shutting session.

Who Can Apply?

The Fellowship is open to leaders of socially engaged arts organisations primarily based in Council of Europe member states or Kosovo. Eligible organisations should:

  • Have been established for at the least 5 years.
  • Primarily deal with socially engaged arts.
  • Have a Fellow with at the least three years of senior management expertise.
  • Operate in the cultural and humanities sector with authorized standing.

Applicants needs to be:

  • Visionary and bold – Committed to management and organisational development.
  • Aligned with the Fellowship’s mission – Seeking private and sector-wide impression.
