Climate Mobility Fellowship (CMF) 2025–2026 | Fully Funded by GCCM | Open to All Nationalities
The Global Centre for Climate Mobility (GCCM) is worked up to announce the launch of the Climate Mobility Fellowship (CMF) 2025–2026—a transformative program designed to equip youth leaders with the instruments, networks, and experience wanted to tackle local weather mobility challenges.
This year-long fellowship will help 12 youth leaders from Africa, Latin America & the Caribbean, and the Pacific—together with 4 from Pacific Small Island Developing States (SIDS). Fellows will achieve tutorial coaching, hands-on expertise, and publicity to key international coverage processes, enabling them to grow to be leaders in local weather mobility governance, coverage, and analysis.
Fellowship Overview
- Duration: 12 Months (June 2025 – May 2026)
- Format: Hybrid (In-Person & Virtual)
- Stipend: $800 monthly (for 12 months)
- Additional Benefits: Travel and lodging lined for fellowship-related coaching and occasions

Eligibility Criteria:
- Aged 18-30 years on the time of application
- Fluent in English
- Nationals of or based mostly in Africa, Latin America & the Caribbean, or Pacific Island international locations
Fellowship Pillars
The CMF is structured round 4 key pillars to guarantee a complete studying expertise:
1. Formal Learning: In-Residence & Virtual Training
Fellows will endure two intensive coaching phases:
- In-Residence Program (16–27 June 2025): A two-week, immersive coaching centered on local weather mobility knowledge-building and coverage frameworks.
- Virtual Remote Program (25 August–5 September 2025): A two-week on-line program strengthening expertise in advocacy, communications, challenge improvement, and motion planning.
2. Hands-on Learning by GCCM Programs
Fellows will probably be built-in into ongoing GCCM actions associated to:
- Policy analysis & knowledge evaluation
- Regional programming
- Strategic communication
- Public advocacy
This hands-on method enhances their expertise and employability within the local weather mobility sector.
3. Participation in Global Policy Processes
CMF supplies entry to main international convenings, permitting fellows to have interaction with specialists and policymakers:
- UN Oceans Conference & Berlin Climate Mobility Forum (June 2025)
- UN High-Level Week & Climate Mobility Summit (September 2025)
- COP30 (November 2025)
Fellows will contribute to high-level discussions, community with decision-makers, and form local weather mobility insurance policies.
4. Climate Mobility Impact Project
Each fellow will design and implement a Climate Mobility Impact Project addressing a key local weather mobility problem of their neighborhood or area. Projects could:
- Contribute revolutionary options aligned with GCCM’s current practices (e.g., coverage analysis, youth engagement, local weather finance)
- Develop new initiatives that advance local weather mobility options
These initiatives function real-world case research, enabling fellows to create tangible impression.

- Fellows will reconvene for a digital closing assembly to share challenge outcomes and transition into the GCCM Alumni Network.
