Call for Applications: TDR Implementation Science Leadership Fellowship at the University of Ghana
The University of Ghana School of Public Health invites functions for the TDR Implementation Science (IS) Leadership Fellowship Programme for the 2024/2025 educational 12 months. This initiative is supported by the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR) and co-sponsored by UNICEF, UNDP, the World Bank, and WHO. The fellowship goals to develop management in implementation science, improve public well being analysis capability, and foster a collaborative community of IS leaders throughout low- and middle-income nations (LMICs) in the WHO Africa Region.
Fellowship Focus Areas
The programme addresses 4 key world well being challenges as recognized in the TDR Strategy 2024-2025:
- Control and elimination of infectious illnesses of poverty
- Resistance to therapy and management brokers
- Epidemics and outbreaks
- Climate change and its impression on well being
Programme Details
- Location: University of Ghana School of Public Health
- Duration: 9-12 months (beginning March 2025)
- Language: English
- Format: In-person coaching with mentorship assist

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should:
- Be nationals and residents of a WHO Africa Region LMIC
- Be below 40 years outdated at the time of application
- Have an educational or public well being curiosity in IS
- Be employed by a college, analysis establishment, Ministry of Health, public well being group, or NGO
- Submit an IS mission proposal
- Demonstrate English proficiency
- Provide proof of study go away from their employer
Education and Experience Requirements
- A PhD or Master’s diploma in Public Health, Implementation Research, or associated fields OR
- An MD with at least 2-3 years of analysis expertise
- At least one peer-reviewed article in an open-access journal on an IS-related theme
