About the Role
UNDP Bhutan is hiring a Development Economic Analyst to help the implementation of Bhutan’s thirteenth Five-Year Plan (2024-2029) and contribute to the Policy Innovation Lab. The analyst will work with the Prime Minister’s Office and UNDP to conduct coverage analysis, present strategic recommendation, and help the improvement of a high-level improvement roadmap for Bhutan’s financial transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct coverage analysis on financial, social, and political points affecting Bhutan’s development.
- Develop revolutionary methods to deal with boundaries in implementing the authorities’s financial imaginative and prescient.
- Provide coverage advisory help to authorities stakeholders and improvement companions.
- Lead analysis on financial forecasting, improvement roadmaps, and strategic insurance policies.
- Manage coverage experiments and use data-driven insights to tell decision-making.
- Build strategic partnerships and help useful resource mobilization for UNDP’s initiatives.
Qualifications
- Master’s diploma in Economics, Econometrics, Mathematics, or Statistics with at least 2 years of expertise, OR
- Bachelor’s diploma in the similar fields with 4 years of expertise.
- Proven expertise in financial evaluation, undertaking administration, and coverage improvement.
- Expertise in knowledge evaluation, analysis, and policy-level advisory is an asset.
- Fluency in English and Dzongkha is required.
