Applications are open for the Hiring Our Heroes’ Small Business Grant Program 2025. Hiring Our Heroes’ Small Business Grant Program will honor the achievements of veteran- and army partner-owned small companies, highlighting their influence and contributions to native communities and America’s financial progress.

This program was made doable by the generosity of the FedEx Founder’s Fund, part of the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis, and USAA Small Business Insurance.

Grant

• The program will award 5 such companies with a one-time $10,000 grant to be used to develop and help their enterprise.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for the Grant Program, an applicant should be:

• A authorized resident of and presently reside within the contiguous 48 states, Alaska and/or Hawaii; and
• A 51% or extra proprietor of a for-revenue enterprise owned by an honorably-discharged veteran or army partner with 3 to 20 staff together with the proprietor, all full or part-time staff, and unbiased (1099) contractors. For the needs of this program, veteran or army partner means:
  • any one that beforehand served within the lively obligation, National Guard or Reserve elements of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force or Coast Guard and has an honorable discharge;
  • any one that presently serves in National Guard or Reserve element of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force or Coast Guard; or
  • any one that is presently married to a present member of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard, or any National Guard or Reserve elements of the army; and
• An proprietor of a small enterprise with lower than $5 million in annual income and situated in an economically weak neighborhood, or the enterprise can in any other case display monetary want introduced on by hardship past the proprietor’s management.
