Applications are open for the Atlantic Council for International Cooperation Youth Internship Program 2025. Jointly applied by the Atlantic Council for International Cooperation and the Marine Institute of Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador, this system gives youth the OPPORTUNITY to achieve worthwhile worldwide work expertise by means of 4-month internship placements with associate organizations in Africa, the Caribbean, Asia, and Central America.

The International Youth Internship Program was launched in 1997, and has at all times targeted on providing younger individuals aged 18-30 from Canada the chance to achieve expertise {and professional} expertise whereas travelling, dwelling, and dealing overseas. Since its inception, IYIP has and despatched over 7,000 youth to work with associate organizations and institutional overseas within the subject of worldwide growth.

The focus of the present 2023-2028 IYIP program is to supply significant and transformative alternatives to youth dealing with obstacles to employment, similar to youth with disabilities, Indigenous youth, racialized youth, and 2SLGBTQI+ youth. 

Benefits

IYIP is a 5-month dedication that entails: 

• 1 month of pre-departure coaching (3 weeks just about, 1 week in individual)
• 4-month worldwide internship placement with a neighborhood associate group
• 3 days of submit-internship debrief in Canada

The program prices are funded (together with airfare, transportation prices, visa charges, pre-departure and submit-internship coaching), and interns will obtain a stipend whereas overseas.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this program, you have to:

• Be 18-30 years previous, at first date of the internship;
• Be Canadian citizen or everlasting resident;
• Not have beforehand accomplished an in-individual IYIP Placement.
