UONGOZI Institute Youth Leadership Competition 2025 ($2,000 prize)

Applications are open for the UONGOZI Institute Youth Leadership Competition 2025. The Youth Leadership Competition is organised as a part of the African Leadership Forum (ALF) to offer an area for the youth of Africa and the following technology of leaders within the area to contribute to necessary discussions on management and sustainable improvement.

In every contest, African residents between the age of 18 and 25 are requested to put in writing about their views on management because it pertains to a theme tied to the ALF.  ALF 2025 will likely be convened in Kampala, Uganda by H.E. Dr. Jakaya Kikwete, ALF Patron and fourth President of the United Republic of Tanzania, and H.E. Hailemariam Desalegn, former Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, from 7 – 8 April. The theme will likely be “Realising sustainable development goals in Africa: Progress and way forward”.

Prizes

  • Up to 5 winners will likely be chosen. Winners will likely be requested to create posters to visually describe their concepts. The posters will likely be showcased on the ALF.
  • Winners will obtain their awards at a prize giving ceremony to be held throughout the ALF Gala Dinner. The ceremony will likely be attended by senior leaders from throughout Africa, representing public, personal and third sectors.
  • A grand prize of USD $2,000 will likely be awarded to the general winner, and they are going to be requested to learn their essay on the dinner occasion.
  • Selected winners residing outdoors Uganda will likely be required to have legitimate journey paperwork for journey. UONGOZI Institute will cowl the prices associated to their journey, together with visa charges, air ticket and lodging.

Eligibility

  • Open to all African residents (together with the diaspora) between the age of 18 – 25. The essays ought to reply to the next query: If you have been an African chief, how would you speed up the implementation of SDGs on the continent?
