UONGOZI Institute’s Youth Leadership Competition 2025 for young Africans (USD $2,000 & Fully Funded to Kampala, Uganda)

Applications at the moment are open for the 2025 UONGOZI Institute’s Youth Leadership Competition. The Youth Leadership Competition is organised as a part of the African Leadership Forum (ALF) to present an area for the youth of Africa and the subsequent era of leaders within the area to contribute to necessary discussions on management and sustainable growth.

In every contest, African residents between the age of 18 and 25 are requested to write about their views on management because it relates to a theme tied to the ALF.  

The essays are rigorously evaluated on the premise of originality, organisation, creativity, appropriateness to contest theme and using language. The winners get the chance to take part within the ALF plenary session and obtain their awards at a prize-giving ceremony – within the presence of distinguished delegates from the discussion board.

Guidelines

• This competitors goals to present a possibility for the youth of Africa and the subsequent era of leaders within the area to share their views on management because it relates to accelerating the SDG implementation in Africa. It is open to all African residents (together with the diaspora) between the age of 18 – 25. The essays ought to reply to the next query:

  If you had been an African chief, how would you speed up the implementation of SDGs on the continent?

  All essays have to be typed. The minimal size is 500 phrases, and the utmost is 700 phrases. The format shall be of single spaced, Arial font dimension 11 with web page margins of 1 inch (2.54 cm) for every margin, and despatched as a Microsoft Word doc.

PRIZES

• Up to 5 winners can be chosen. Winners can be requested to create posters to visually describe their concepts. The posters can be showcased on the ALF.
• Winners will obtain their awards at a prize giving ceremony to be held through the ALF Gala Dinner. The ceremony can be attended by senior leaders from throughout Africa, representing public, personal and third sectors.
• A grand prize of USD $2,000 can be awarded to the general winner, and they are going to be requested to learn their essay on the dinner occasion.
• Selected winners residing outdoors Uganda can be required to have legitimate journey paperwork for journey. UONGOZI Institute will cowl the prices associated to their journey, together with visa charges, air ticket and lodging.
