Applications are open for the NASW Peggy Girshman Idea Grants Spring 2025. NASW invites proposals from people or teams for grants of up to $5,000 to help tasks and packages that may assist science writers of their skilled lives and profit the sector of science writing. Projects have to be aligned with NASW’s mission and needs to be accessible to U.S.-based science writers.

Since 2010, the National Association of Science Writers has funded tasks totaling almost $600,000 to profit science writers. The grant program is called in reminiscence of former NASW board member Peggy Girshman, a founding member of the NASW Grants Committee and longtime advocate for writers.

Eligibility

Application
