The Black Community Commitment Initiative and Michael Jordan Launches Community Grant Program 2025: Funding Opportunity for Nonprofits in the United States

The Black Community Commitment initiative, in partnership with Michael Jordan, is launching the fifth spherical of the annual Community Grant Program to assist grassroots nonprofit organizations throughout the United States. This initiative is part of a 10-year, $100 million dedication to advancing racial fairness.

Application Period: January 15 – February 16, 2025 (11:59 PM PST)

Eligibility Criteria

Organizations should:

• Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2023 or earlier
• Have an annual working price range between $100,000 and $3 million
• Align with at the very least one in all the program’s key focus areas
• Organizations with fiscal sponsors are eligible however should present governance supplies, financials, and a signed memorandum of understanding (MOU)

Focus Areas

• Economic Justice: Expanding pathways to generational wealth by way of monetary literacy and profession improvement teaching
• Education: Supporting Black college students by growing the variety of Black educators, aiding underserved colleges, and offering entry to greater schooling
