Applications are open for the OneBeat Kenya Creative Residency 2025. OneBeat Kenya, a dynamic two-and-a-half-week artistic residency, will convey collectively 12 trailblazing artist leaders from throughout East Africa and the United States. This residency is designed for collaboration, progress, and innovation. Ten artists from East Africa and two artists from the United States, spanning genres and musical communities, will unite to discover new musical horizons and sharpen their skilled and entrepreneurial expertise.

Set within the inspiring Distant Relatives Ecolodge within the city of Kilifi, only a brief drive from Mombasa, OneBeat Kenya will immerse contributors in a thriving music scene, wealthy in tradition and power. This residency affords an intensive program stuffed with artistic workshops, discussions, and arms-on workout routines, together with grasp courses, music recording periods, and filmmaking initiatives. OneBeat Kenya Fellows can even take part in significant engagements with the local people, forging lasting connections. OneBeat Kenya is greater than only a residency; it’s an exhilarating journey of collaboration and creativity, set to ignite new potentialities and encourage future collaborations throughout continents.

Costs

• All prices will probably be lined for OneBeat Fellows, together with journey and lodging. Fellows can even obtain a per diem and a modest honorarium.

Eligibility

• Applicants should be 19 or older by the point of this system (August 20, 2025) and 35 or youthful on the finish of this system (September 8, 2025).
•  Be each a resident and citizen of Kenya or the USA.
• OneBeat Fellows should apply individually and will probably be chosen as people. However, a number of members of a gaggle are welcome to apply individually.
