2025 TWAS-Abdool Karim Award in Biological Sciences for women scientists in Low-Income African Countries (USD5,000 cash award)

Applications are actually open for the 2025 TWAS-Abdool Karim Award in Biological Sciences for women scientists.
This award, named after TWAS President Professor Quarraisha Abdool Karim, is designed to honour women scientists in Least Developed African international locations for their achievements in Biological Sciences. It carries a cash award of USD5,000 generously offered by Professor Abdool Karim.

ELIGIBILITY:

The award acknowledges women scientists for their achievements in Biological Sciences.

Eligible nominees for the 2025 award are feminine scientists not older than 45 years of age nationals of a Least Developed African nation who’ve been dwelling and dealing there for no less than two years instantly previous to their nomination.

SELECTION:

A pre-screening of the candidates will probably be accomplished at TWAS, the nomination dossiers of the certified candidates will then be submitted to jury members for their analysis. Based on this analysis Prof. Quarraisha Abdool Karim will choose the winner.
