Established in 1997, the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center (APAC) has amplified AANHPI voices throughout the Smithsonian for almost three many years, bringing untold tales to the nationwide stage via digital and short-term exhibitions. Program Details
APAC has two major internship tracks – Education and Operations.
- The Education monitor will deal with initiatives that develop AANHPI illustration in Ok-12 training nationwide and interns’ data of instructional platforms and neighborhood partnerships.
- The Operations monitor will deal with initiatives associated to approaching exhibitions and increasing interns’ data on museum operations and procedures.
While these tracks are separate, the internship program’s basis is a cohort-studying atmosphere, the place interns can anticipate to collaborate with and be taught from each other. All interns at APAC will work alongside employees, obtain skilled improvement, and develop their data on museum operations and “behind the scenes” work all through the internship.

Benefits
- In the Summer cycle, the internship is full-time (35 hours per week) with a weekly $850 stipend.
Eligibility
- Open to present undergraduate college students (present sophomores, juniors and seniors) and up to date graduates from an undergraduate program (inside 15 months of commencement).
