The African Women in Energy and Power (AWEaP), in partnership with the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Energy Resources, and Winrock International via the Accelerating Women’s Empowerment in Energy (AWEE) program and with the assist of Sasol, is proud to announce the launch of its groundbreaking Just Energy Transition (JET) Skills Development Programme – Entrepreneur Master Class.
Masterclass Date: February 11-13, 2025,
The masterclass is designed to equip South African entrepreneurs with the talents, information, and networks wanted to navigate and innovate inside the evolving power panorama.
Programme Details
- Operators, managers and leaders in electrical energy utilities – to construct capability for enterprise innovation for the Just Energy Transition, micro–economic system resuscitation and advance inclusivity via preferential procurement coverage reform
- Entrepreneurs – to grasp rising worth chains and establish areas of entry, enterprise diversification or enlargement
- Community Leaders – to grasp the evolving coverage and the way it impacts their communities and to take part in Social Safeguarding programmes for infrastructure improvement
- Unemployed youth, girls and individuals with incapacity – to establish potential employment Opportunities and acquire abilities to take part in rising worth chains
The AWEE Program is funded by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Energy Resources and the U.S. Gender Equity and Equality Action Fund carried out by Winrock International. The program goals to extend the participation of girls in South Africa’s power workforce by addressing limitations to the entry, promotion, and retention of girls in South Africa’s clear power sector.
