Principal Investigators should full a Research Management System (RMS) document, together with a full application, for approvals.

For Postdocs, college students, and trainees, full the Research Funding Application Approval (RFAA) Trainee PDF form and submit it to Research Services at rsotrainee@ucalgary.ca.

Approval requires signatures from:

1. Principal Investigator
2. Department Head
3. Faculty ADR/Dean
4. Research Services (on behalf of the Vice-President Research)

Submission Process

1. Mandatory Research Security Requirements: All candidates should full a analysis safety questionnaire by February 10, 2025. Complete Questionnaire
2. Registration: Complete the registration through ResearchNet by February 5, 2025 (6:00 PM Calgary time). No RMS submission is required at this stage.
3. Full Application: Complete the application in the CIHR ResearchWeb portal and confirm every part earlier than submitting.
4. Final Internal Deadline: Submit the application to Research Services by March 3, 2025, at 9:00 AM.
5. Detailed Review (Optional): Submit the full RMS document and application by February 19, 2025 for an in depth assessment.
