Duties and Responsibilities
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the host to the implementation arm of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Technology Mechanism: the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN). The incumbent shall be accountable for the next duties: A – Support the Director of the CTCN on Governance: 1. Supports coordination with the Advisory Board and the UNFCCC Technology crew/secretariat of the Technology Executive Committee. 2. Serve as the primary focus for the preparation and planning of the CTCN Advisory Board conferences: a. Coordinate and contribute to the preparation of related assembly paperwork; b. Liaise with related employees and consultants; c. Communicate with Advisory Board members; d. Support the Chair and Vice Chair of Advisory Board. 3. Monitor intergovernmental course of on local weather expertise and analyze impacts for CTCN. 4. Support CTCN engagement at SBs and COPs. 5. Supports communication and collaboration between the board, related UNFCCC our bodies and different worldwide expertise stakeholders. B – Support CTCN communications: 1. Drafting and distribution of often occurring e-newsletter to stakeholders. 2. Drafting and continuously publishing content material on the CTCN Website and Social Media channels. 3. Qualifications/particular abilities
- Advanced college diploma (Master’s diploma or equal) in communications, worldwide and/or public relations or associated subject.
