The Communications Assistant (Illustrator) is required to supply animations and movement graphics and create digital illustrations features in shut coordination with the Public Information Assistants on the unit and the Team for Persons with Disabilities on the Gender Justice, Population and Inclusive Development Cluster.

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Secretary of the Commission and Chief of the ESCWA External Relations and Communication Section (ERC), the Communications Assistant (Illustrator) is required to carry out the under features in shut coordination with the Public Information Assistants on the unit and the Team for Persons with Disabilities on the Gender Justice, Population and Inclusive Development Cluster Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Create digital illustrations of individuals with incapacity, offering representations of a number of sorts of disabilities; 2. Produce animations and movement graphics of those illustrations when required; 3. Conduct the suitable analysis and investigation to correctly characterize individuals with incapacity from throughout the area, whereas sustaining gender equality, age and race variety, amongst different standards; 4. Abide by the UN pointers for branding, inclusion and accessibility and different relevant reference materials; 5. Assist in producing graphics for data spots, wrap-up movies, when required; 6. Assist the photographer within the manufacturing and post-production of visible property; 7. Assist within the design and animation (movement graphics) of different movies, when required; 8. Brainstorm with colleagues regularly for new concepts, and collaborate with the workforce on their execution; 9. Assist within the creation of visible content material for social media; 10. Work with the Public Information Assistants on different digital design-related work; 11. Perform different duties as assigned by the Chief of ERC. Qualifications/particular expertise
Bachelor’s Degree in media, artwork communication, digital design, graphic design, or different associated discipline is required. All candidates should submit a duplicate of the required instructional diploma. Incomplete purposes won’t be reviewed. 5 years of expertise in illustration, drawing, digital and movement graphics design is required. Ability to supply good storytelling by means of picture essays is fascinating. Experience in a world setting is fascinating.
Languages
Languages English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat; and Arabic is a working language of ESCWA. For this place, fluency in English and Arabic is required. Fluency in French is fascinating. Note: “Fluency” equals a ranking of ‘fluent’ in all 4 areas (communicate, learn, write, and perceive) and “Knowledge of” equals a ranking of ‘confident’ in two of the 4 areas.
