The Oxford Smith School is thrilled to announce that purposes are actually open for its low-carbon summer season faculty programme, Summer SCENE 2025! This immersive on-line course runs from 7 July to 18 July 2025, Monday to Friday, and goals to have interaction youth and early-career professionals from the Global South in shaping sustainability insurance policies.

Course Overview

Summer SCENE 2025 is designed to empower members to discover essential sustainability matters and develop impactful coverage suggestions. By the top of the course, these suggestions shall be printed and shared with world leaders, amplifying the voices of rising leaders within the Global South.

The course supplies:

  • Live webinar classes led by Oxford school and visitor specialists.
  • Networking alternatives with friends, Oxford MSc pupil facilitators, and sustainability professionals.
  • A platform to have interaction with cutting-edge analysis and coverage discussions.

  • Duration: 2 weeks (Monday to Friday)
  • Dates: 7 July – 11 July 2025 and 14 July – 18 July 2025
  • Times: 11:00-13:00 BST and 14:00-16:00 BST

Who Can Apply

The course is open to 50 graduate college students and early-career professionals from the Global South who:

  • Are excited about sustainability and coverage improvement.
  • Have began their careers within the third sector.
  • Are desperate to transition into sustainability coverage improvement.

Applications are inspired from people with various expertise and experiences, significantly these aspiring to change into future leaders in sustainability.

Key Topics

Participants will:

  • Develop an understanding of sustainability points.
  • Collaborate on a bunch coverage suggestion related to:
    • Local or shared points throughout Global South nations.
    • UK authorities insurance policies below session.
