Nominations are invited for the Africa Internet Governance Forum Multistakeholder Advisory Group 2025. The Africa Internet Governance Forum (AfIGF) Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG) has been instrumental in shaping the annual Africa IGF conferences since 2011.
Nominations ought to adhere to the rules and practices outlined within the Africa IGF Charter (adopted in November 2024). The 10 profitable nominees (two from every sub-area) will serve a two-yr time period, actively taking part within the multistakeholder session course of and representing the views of their respective teams on Internet governance. The Africa IGF MAG will attempt for balanced illustration throughout geographical areas, stakeholder teams, and gender range.
Eligibility
To be eligible, every candidate for MAG membership should:
- Be citizen of and reside in one of many 5 African Sub-Regions.
- Have the required experience within the Internet Governance ecosystem and the associated coverage points.
- Have participated in a minimum of one of many Internet Governance Forums on the National, Sub-regional, regional, or international degree.
- Not be a member of, or candidate to the Nominating Committee of the thought-about choice spherical.
- Have linkages or affiliation with the acknowledged IG stakeholder teams
- All MAG members are imagined to attend all MAG conferences (Virtual and/or face-to- face) and actively take part within the annual discussion board
