Calling Youth in Canada: GAC Canadian Delegation to the 58th UN Commission on Population & Development (Funded) – YOA

The Global Affairs Canada (GAC) is looking for a youth delegate to be part of the Canadian delegation to the 58th United Nations (UN) Commission on Population and Development annual session. The Canadian delegation to CPD sometimes consists of delegates from GAC headquarters and Canada’s Permanent Mission to the UN. Since 2019, Canada has included a youth in its official delegation, with delegates taking part nearly in 2020, 2021, and 2022. Delegates in 2023 and 2024 participated in individual.

The youth delegate will:

• Help inform Canada’s engagement at CPD by offering their views on the consequence doc, Canada’s nationwide assertion and key points associated to the theme of CPD58;
• Have the position of observers at facet occasions, participation in plenary, and different related conferences; and
• Prepare a delegate report following the CPD with key takeaways, classes realized and proposals to GAC for future consideration.

Eligibility

• Between the ages of 18 and 25 (at the time of the occasion);
