About Native Americans in Philanthropy

Native Americans in Philanthropy’s (NAP) mission is to advertise equitable and efficient philanthropy in Native communities. We do that by rising engagement and funding to Native-led organizations; rising and supporting Native professionals in philanthropy; and reworking and influencing the philanthropic sector to be in alignment with an Indigenous worldview. About the Position

• Native Americans in Philanthropy (NAP) is looking for a  Native Youth Grantmaking Fellow to help the implementation and growth of the Indigenous Tomorrows Fund, a brand new participatory grantmaking initiative.
• This position is part of a transformative effort to handle systemic inequities in Indigenous communities by amplifying youth voices and supporting modern options in meals justice, psychological well being, training, and cultural preservation.
• By empowering youth by way of participatory grantmaking, the Fellow will assist shift decision-making energy to Indigenous youth, advancing long-term self-determination and justice for Indigenous communities.

Primary Responsibilities

Grantmaking & Program Support

• Collaborate on designing and implementing the Indigenous Tomorrows Fund’s participatory grantmaking framework.
• Facilitate listening and design classes with Indigenous youth and group stakeholders to determine funding priorities.
• Coordinate the grant overview course of, guaranteeing alignment with eligibility standards and group wants.
• Provide coaching and capability constructing for future Native Youth Grantmakers engaged in the initiative.

Community Engagement

• Act as a liaison between the Indigenous Tomorrows Fund, Tribal communities, youth leaders, and philanthropic companions.
• Organize focus teams and convenings for youth cohorts (ages 14-24) to assemble insights and foster collaboration throughout numerous Tribal communities.
• Amplify Indigenous youth voices by supporting the event of narratives and techniques rooted in self-determination.
• Develop and refine insurance policies and procedures for the Indigenous Tomorrows Fund’s participatory grantmaking framework.
• Organize digital and in-person funder convenings.
• Work with the communications workforce on the event of collateral supplies.

Evaluation & Reporting

• Contribute to the documentation of classes discovered and the event of finest practices for participatory grantmaking.
• Support reporting to funders and advisory committees.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability

• Demonstrated expertise with participatory grantmaking or philanthropic initiatives.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Education and Experience

• Alum of the Native Youth Grantmakers program.
• Demonstrated dedication to Indigenous group growth and self-determination.
• Experience in group engagement, grantmaking, or venture coordination.
• Bachelor’s diploma with expertise in grassroots management, group engagement, or participatory grantmaking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and venture administration software program (e.g., Asana).
