Call for Nominations: UN FAO Partnership Award 2025 ($10,000 prize) – YOA

Nominations are open for the UN FAO Partnership Award 2025. On 18 June 2021, the FAO Conference, at its Forty-second session, determined to ascertain a “FAO Award for Partnership” to recognise excellent cooperation with FAO in advancing the Organization’s work by Members, different UN businesses or worldwide establishments, educational or analysis entities; and civil society or personal sector entities, together with media retailers.

A profitable sustainable improvement agenda requires robust world partnerships and cooperation between governments, the personal sector, civil society and academia. The goal of this Award is to acknowledge and reward the efforts of noteworthy and efficient partnerships that contribute to attaining sustainable improvement.

Award

• A scroll describing the recipient’s achievements and/or award.
• A money prize of USD $10,000.

Eligibility

The successful establishment/group demonstrates that they efficiently contributed to an space of labor associated to FAO’s mandate, assembly one or all the following standards:

• Engaged native communities and related stakeholders with the goal to enhance folks’s lives responding to their wants and rights and enhancing efforts to realize the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs);
• Raised visibility of the issue of starvation and malnutrition, speaking advanced agricultural and financial points to the broader public, and promoted profitable options and tasks for improved meals safety and diet;
• Presented an modern concept, a brand new strategy, or a singular coverage that was applied efficiently and is adaptable to different contexts inspiring comparable improvements inside a given metropolis, nation, area or on the world stage;
• Developed an initiative that demonstrates proof of influence in bettering folks’s lives; and/or
• Successfully advocated for the worth of insurance policies and rules that FAO prioritizes.
