Launched in 2001, the Carlo Schmid Programme introduces distinctive college students and graduates to the challenges and methodologies of worldwide administration by internships. This initiative fosters intercultural competence and prepares members for careers in international fields.

Implemented by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in collaboration with the German National Academic Foundation, the programme is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
