Duties and Responsibilities

Functions, Duties and Mandates of NDRRMA as articulated within the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act, 2074: The Government of Nepal (Division of Work) Regulation 2074 has indicated the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) because the focal and lead ministry for Disaster Management in Nepal. As per the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act 2074, NDRRMA is established underneath the Ministry of Home Affairs. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) is the legally mandated company for total catastrophe danger governance and administration in Nepal. Output/Work Assignments Under the management of the Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Disaster and Conflict Management Division, the Consultant might be required to supply report on:

• Legal modification and changes of the NDRRMA acts and guidelines, associated to institutional reform.
