About the Organization
Founded in 1907, Sequoia Park Zoo is the oldest zoo in California and is home to over 150 animals from throughout 50 totally different species, together with bald eagles, river otters, and spider monkeys. Located on six acres adjoining to a mixed-growth redwood forest, Sequoia Park Zoo presents an intimate and accessible expertise for all.
The Redwood Sky Walk is a self-guided interpretive expertise designed to teach, encourage, and delight guests of all ages and skills. Guests will soak up the wonders of the world’s tallest bushes from a sequence of ramps, platforms, and bridges – some suspended 100 ft above the forest flooring.
About the Grant
Sequoia Park Zoo incorporates wildlife conservation as a necessary part of our mission. We fund conservation area work, unfold consciousness about threats to wildlife and habitats, and encourage conservation motion amongst our guests.
Conservation Fund:
Established in 2011, the Sequoia Park Zoo Conservation Fund helps native and international conservation-related applications, initiatives, and initiatives with funds sourced via our Quarters for Conservation program, Round Up for Conservation program, grants, and donations.
