Applications are open for the Rice Business Plan Competition 2025. The Rice Business Plan Competition is designed to give collegiate entrepreneurs an actual-world expertise to pitch their startups to buyers, obtain mentoring, community with the entrepreneurial ecosystem, improve their startup technique, and be taught what it takes to launch a profitable startup.

Hosted and arranged by the Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship—which is Rice University’s internationally-acknowledged initiative devoted to the help of entrepreneurship—and Rice Business.

Prizes

• Over $1.5 million in prizes; minimal money prize is $800; grand prize winner receives a $150,000 funding.

Eligibility

You are eligible in case your startup:

• is scholar-pushed, scholar-created and/or scholar-managed;
• has not less than two present scholar founders or administration workforce members, and not less than one of these college students is a present graduate diploma-in search of scholar;
• are from a university or college wherever in the world;
• has not raised greater than $250,000 in fairness capital prior to July 1, 2024;
• has not generated income of greater than $100,000 in any 12-month interval prior to July 1, 2024;
• is in search of funding or capital (or shall be in the subsequent 12 months);
• is a probably viable funding OPPORTUNITY.

They encourage groups from a number of universities and throughout graduate diploma packages, however don’t settle for college students in publish-doc or certificates packages.
