Call for Applications: Action Network on Forced Displacement – Women as Agents of Change
The Action Network on Forced Displacement is a world initiative championing the self-representation of displaced ladies in all their range and fostering feminist management. Its mission is to advertise the complete, equal, and significant social, financial, and political participation of displaced ladies worldwide.
This community offers a platform for displaced ladies, women, and different marginalized people to advocate for their pursuits, signify themselves, and amplify their voices throughout native, nationwide, and worldwide spheres.
About the Network
- The Action Network contains 30 members from numerous displacement contexts worldwide.
- It is supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
- The community additionally collaborates with the Funding Initiative on Forced Displacement, managed by the Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund, which offers funding to grassroots organizations globally.
Opportunities for New Members
The Action Network is looking for new members who’re dedicated to its imaginative and prescient and mission. As a member, you’ll:
- Co-create and take part in Action Network Convenings (e.g., the subsequent convening is scheduled for 8–10 April 2025 in Berlin).
- Represent the community at worldwide conferences or coverage discussions on displacement and gender.
- Engage in decision-making for the Funding Initiative on Forced Displacement, together with pre-selecting purposes from grassroots organizations.
- Share capacities by means of mentoring schemes, such as conducting on-line webinars.
- Take on inner roles, such as spokesperson, treasurer, or communication specialist.
- Facilitate initiatives led by the Action Network.
Selection Criteria
Applicants should meet the next standards:
- Have lived expertise of displacement.
- Identify as a girl and/or a member of the LGBTIQ+ group.
- Be a minimum of 18 years previous.
- Have a feminist, intersectional perspective.
- Demonstrate energetic engagement within the area of displacement (e.g., in NGOs, activism, academia, or politics).
- Show capability for common engagement with the Action Network.
- Preference shall be given to candidates with a regional background from Africa.
- The community seeks to strengthen range, encouraging purposes from people with diversified backgrounds, together with these with disabilities, completely different ethnicities, religions, socioeconomic statuses, or ages.
