Job Purpose
Under the supervision of the Country Operations Manager, to handle the portfolio of (Transport ) and associated Economic Infrastructure tasks and TAs throughout the permitted scope, schedule, funds and high quality to make sure environment friendly supply of the Bank’s mandate to help socio-economic growth within the related Member Countries. Supervise and supply technical oversight to Project Managers on day-to-day foundation for the implementation of tasks and to offer clearance on their duties. Lead/conduct the appraisal of tasks, TAs, high quality evaluations, progress reporting month-to-month, quarterly and yearly. Contribute to the clearance of tender paperwork and contracts associated to implementation of the permitted tasks and proactively mitigate dangers points within the portfolios. Provide technical help and contribution in shaping the Bank’s technique by specializing in the given sector within the coated area, together with contribution to Member Country Strategy, analytical work. Provide Project Management and Implementation supervision. Provide Data Entry and system administration of Bank Project Management Systems. Key Accountabilities
Project Appraisal:
- Lead the preparation of challenge value determinations to make sure complete protection of the technical, financial, social, monetary, procurement, institutional and environmental elements of the challenge proposals are in keeping with the operations handbook and relevant insurance policies/procedures of the Bank.
- Seek inputs from the respective Sector Teams in DGCP and GPP to additional refine and improve the challenge appraisal paperwork previous to submission for Board approval.
- Ensure all modifications recognized throughout challenge preparation and appraisal are integrated in all of the related paperwork for alignment of challenge design and strategy previous to submission of challenge for Board approval.
- Build partnerships with different MDBs for co-financing.
Project Approval:
- Lead within the preparation, follow-up and communication of challenge preparation and approvals, in keeping with IsDB’s enterprise processes, delegation of authority with the related focal factors and stakeholders (Bank, MC, Partners).
Project Implementation and Monitoring:
- Coordinate with respective DGCP and GPP Sectoral Leads for receiving technical help in all elements throughout all the challenge lifecycle.
- Maintain challenge plans to make sure ongoing monitoring of challenge progress, proactive identification of points and implementation of motion plans to resolve points promptly.
- Liaise with the Operations Quality and Monitoring (OQM) Unit throughout the operational cycle of tasks to make sure mandatory operational insurance policies and procedures are being adopted and options for enhancements are carried out.
- Review disbursement requests and advise on clearance standing to nation administration to make sure well timed decision of procurement and different associated points and be sure that Undisbursed Commitments are minimized.
Project Closure and Review:
- Contribute to the event of challenge completion studies, on completion of every challenge, guaranteeing that every one components of the challenge constitution have been integrated within the report.

Academic and Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s diploma in Civil Engineering (Transport, Highway, Aviation, Railroad, BRT, Port), Electrical Engineering (incl. renewable power), Infrastructure Policy, Economics, or associated area.
- Master’s diploma and publicity to sector coverage could be most popular.
- Additional qualification or certification in Project Management like PMP could be fascinating.
