ENNHRI (European Network of National Human Rights Institutions) is a community of over 40 National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) throughout Europe. Human Rights Traineeship – Main Duties & Tasks
ENNHRI is wanting for two Human Rights Trainees to affix its workforce for a six-month traineeship beginning February 2025. Trainees will assist ENNHRI’s core aims and contribute to varied human rights actions throughout Europe, notably targeted on:
- Supporting the institution and accreditation of NHRIs throughout Europe
- Assisting NHRIs in danger and strengthening their resilience
- Providing assist on key human rights matters such because the rule of legislation, civic house, local weather, migration, rights of individuals with disabilities, and human rights defenders
- Engaging with regional human rights mechanisms and supporting ENNHRI’s advocacy and strategic planning on the European stage
Indicative Tasks
- Conducting background analysis and drafting papers, reviews, and different written supplies
- Monitoring EU and European human rights coverage developments
- Attending (on-line) conferences with NHRIs and European actors, representing ENNHRI
- Supporting the preparation of occasions, webinars, and conferences
- Drafting content material for newsletters, social media, and the ENNHRI web site
- Administrative duties, together with database administration and membership-related actions
Required Criteria
- Solid data of human rights, authorized frameworks, and coverage in Europe
- Interest in working with NHRIs in Europe
- Strong analysis and drafting expertise
- Professional working stage of English
- Excellent communication and interpersonal expertise
- Strong organizational talents and the power to work independently or as part of a workforce
Desirable Criteria
- Experience with NHRIs in Europe
- Background in membership organizations or worldwide environments
- Experience in organizing occasions, net conferences, and webinars

Terms of Employment
- Duration: 6-month traineeship, beginning February 2025
- Location: ENNHRI Secretariat, Brussels (teleworking coverage applies)
- Remuneration: €1450/month plus a month-to-month STIB (public transport) move
