Applications at the moment are open for the 2025/2026 Government of ​Brunei Darussalam Scholarships. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is happy to invite purposes for the Government of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship to Foreign Students Tenable in Brunei Darussalam for the 2025/2026 educational session.

The Scholarship offers candidates with the chance to pursue research on the Diploma, Undergraduate Degree and Postgraduate Master’s Degree stage on the following establishments of larger training in Brunei:

Eligibility Requirements

• Not exceed the age of 25, for Undergraduate and Diploma programmes, and the age of 35, for Postgraduate Master’s Degree programmes, on the primary day of July on the 12 months when the course/programme begins
• ​Be proficient in English with a Credit 6 at GCE ‘O’ Level Examination or a Grade ‘C” in IGCSE English (as a second language) or an IELTS rating of 6.0 or a TOEFL minimal rating of 550

Scholarship Worth:

The scholarship recipient will likely be facilitated with the advantages of the scholarship as follows:

1. exemption from paying tuition charges together with acceptance, examination, registration and orientation charges for the period of the programme;
2. an economic system class air-ticket to Brunei Darussalam from the scholarship recipient’s nation of origin/ nation of domicile prior to the graduation of the course and an economic system class air-ticket from Brunei Darussalam to the scholarship recipient’s nation of origin/nation of domicile upon completion of the course;
3. a month-to-month private allowance of BND$500.00;
4. a month-to-month meals allowance of BND$150.00;
5. an annual ebook allowance of BND$600.00;
6. lodging on the residential school of the University/ Polytechnic;
7. baggage allowance for cargo of the scholarship recipient’s private results to his nation of origin/nation of domicile upon completion of the programme, at a most quantity of:
   • BND$250.00 to a rustic throughout the ASEAN area; or
   • BND$500.00 to a rustic outdoors the ASEAN area;
8.  complete insurance coverage cowl for the entire period of the Scholarship. The scholarship recipient is urged to acquire further insurance coverage prior to his journey to Brunei Darussalam and for the entire period of the Scholarship at his personal expense.
