Welcome to the Urban Climate Fellowship Program! We are thrilled to supply gifted and passionate Red Cross Red Crescent National Society employees a chance to turn out to be city local weather fellows. This fellowship goals to strengthen your capability to scale back city dangers within the context of local weather change.
About the Program
This three-month fellowship will present foundational data in city methods, local weather change, threat identification, and adaptation. The program consists of six modules, with one session per week, every lasting an hour. Sessions will embrace lectures, interactive discussions, and actions, culminating in a midterm and remaining task the place fellows apply what they’ve realized in their very own contexts.
Guest audio system from world city organizations will share sensible experiences and classes realized, offering inspiration for fellows to take their very own actions. The program is supported by the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre, the American Red Cross, and Red Cross Red Crescent National Societies.
Fellowship Details
- Duration: Three months (March-May 2025)
- Format: Virtual classes (1 hour per week) plus half a day per week for assignments and group work.
- Completion: Final venture submission adopted by a digital commencement ceremony and certification.
- Opportunity: Fellows will be a part of the IFRC’s Urban Technical working teams for continued technical assist.
Eligibility
- Affiliation: Must be affiliated with a Red Cross Red Crescent (RCRC) National Society. Applicants from Africa, Asia, and Latin America are inspired to apply.

Requirements:
- Letter of advice from National Society headquarters.
- Undergraduate diploma.
- Minimum of two years’ expertise in neighborhood resilience, city planning, local weather change, or catastrophe threat discount.
- Experience in coaching packages for community-based organizations.
- English language abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in groups.
- Access to a pc and web for the digital classes.
