The Institute of English Studies (IES) on the School of Advanced Study (SAS) will award a funded studentship for one place on its MA/MRes History of the Book programme 2024/25. The award covers charges in full on the Home/EU price. The studentship is funded by Maggs Bros. Ltd., one of the world’s largest and oldest antiquarian booksellers.
The Maggs Scholarship seeks particularly to assist a superb scholar who needs to check on the MA within the History of the Book, however whose circumstances may make it troublesome to entry the programme. Preference will probably be given to candidates who’re residents of the United Kingdom with an ethnic minority background. Scholarship recipients may also be invited for an internship at Maggs Bros. Ltd. as half of the internship scheme pre-existing for the History of the Book programme.
