Applications are open for the Canadian Consumer Protection Initiative Program 2025-2027. The Canadian Consumer Protection Initiative was established by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada’s Office of Consumer Affairs to assist the patron advocacy work of Canadian non revenue organizations.

The Initiative allows organizations to produce unbiased analysis on shopper points and funds the creation of assets to assist shoppers make knowledgeable selections within the market. Funding

Eligibility

• Eligible candidates have to be not-for-profit organizations or associations included in Canada (federally or provincially) and/or could also be:
  • Not-for-profit social enterprises or co-operatives
  • A consortia of non-profit organizations
  • Post-secondary tutorial establishments or analysis institutes
  • Indigenous organizations
• Eligible organizations should show that they:
  • Have the construction, governance and funding preparations which don’t expose them to industrial affect on their analysis and coverage positions or outreach actions;
