Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities: The Focal Point Assistant is predicted to supply operational and logistical help to the appointed focus in Lebanon in the following duties:

• Facilitating the partnership between ESCWA, the Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO and the designated beneficiary faculties in Lebanon, in help of the “SDG Stories” Initiative. – Identifying 21 goal faculties to participate in the SDG Stories Initiative for the educational 12 months 2024-2025, via UNESCO and ALECSO’s Associated Schools Network in Lebanon. – Advising faculties and nationwide authorities and stakeholders in Lebanon on the adoption and implementation of actions associated to the SDGs. – Facilitating the circulate of knowledge between ESCWA and the designated beneficiary faculties in Lebanon. – Participating with the SDG Stories Team in their subject visits to beneficiary faculties in Lebanon. – Assisting the SDG Stories Team in the planning and group of occasions related to the initiative, together with capability constructing classes for lecturers. – Exchanging experience with the SDG Stories Team and facilitating cooperation and partnership. – Contributing to the promotion of the SDGs, intergenerational dialogue, good citizenship and international management amongst lecturers, employees and college students taking part in the SDG Stories Initiative.

Qualifications/particular expertise
